Prayers for Heaton Park Synagogue

Prayers for Those Affected by the Manchester Synagogue Attack

We are deeply shocked and saddened to hear of the attack that took place this morning at Heaton Park Synagogue in Manchester, on what is the holiest of days in the Jewish calendar Yom Kippur

Our hearts go out to the four people affected, their families, and the wider Jewish community. To suffer violence at a place of worship, and on such a sacred day, is a profound violation of peace and faith.

As a chapel community, we stand in solidarity with our Jewish siblings. We condemn this act of violence and the hatred it represents.

We hold in prayer all who have been injured or traumatised, those who witnessed this attack, and the whole congregation of Heaton Park Synagogue. May they know healing, courage, and comfort.

May peace prevail, and may love be stronger than hate
