New Monthly Update - Stories from the Graveyard

SFTGY

12 Aug 2025

Each month, I will be researching and sharing a new story from our graveyard, uncovering the lives, families, and histories of those laid to rest here.

These stories will be published on our website, offering a fascinating glimpse into the people who shaped our community. If you have a story or family connection you would like me to focus on, I encourage you to get in touch, either by joining us at our Thursday coffee morning, speaking to me after the Sunday service, or emailing me at rob4man@hotmail.com.

The first in the series will be the intriguing story of the Clay family who came to live and work in Ashton-in-Makerfield but sadly tragedy struck the family. The story fascinated the children from Nicol Mere School recently and It is but one of the many stories the graveyard has.
