Year 3 Christmas Visit from Nicol Mere County Primary School

Park Lane Chapel was delighted to welcome the Year 3 children of Nicol Mere County Primary School for a special collaborative Christmas event arranged by Rev. Robert Dennis Foreman and Miss Ainscough, Head of Year 3. We were also honoured to be joined by the Head Teacher, Mrs Swift.

Despite the truly awful weather (something even a minister can’t fix!), parents were warmly invited into the school room for refreshments and warmth before the concert, though a few cheerfully braved the rain outside. The visit also gave the children the chance to practise taking their seats, moving to the stage, and returning again in an orderly fashion, something they perfected wonderfully.

All sixty children arrived immaculately dressed in their unique Christmas jumpers, filling the chapel with music as they sang beautifully for us. They were exemplary in their behaviour throughout the concert, and this is a testament to their character and, in my opinion, the quality of teachers and support workers the children have.

It was a privilege to host the pupils, their brilliant teachers and support staff, and the many parents who came along to share in the occasion. This joyful gathering was a lovely way to begin looking towards Advent and the Christmas season, and we look forward to many more opportunities to work together in the future.
