We were delighted to welcome the Year 2 children from Nicol Mere County Primary School to Park Lane Chapel for a special Easter visit today.

The children began their time in the chapel, where they were warmly welcomed and gathered together to hear a story that helped set the tone for the day. From there, the excitement truly began, as they set off in teams to take part in an Easter Egg Hunt around the chapel grounds. Carefully searching for hidden numbered cards, each group worked together to find all they needed, exchanging their discoveries for their 2d wooden Easter eggs.

Once the hunt was complete, the children moved into the schoolroom, where creativity took over. Each child decorated their wooden egg with care and imagination, before enjoying refreshments and a well-earned rest after their adventures.

As they left, each child received a small Easter gift bag, including party ring biscuits, a stress egg, an Easter wristband, their decorated egg, and a bookmark to take home as a reminder of the day.

What continues to stand out so strongly about Nicol Mere is the children themselves. They are a credit to their school and community, consistently polite, engaged, and enthusiastic. They are, in every sense, wonderful ambassadors and role models, and it is always a genuine joy to welcome them, along with their teachers and staff, into the life of our chapel.

They are always welcome here, and they hold a special place in our community.

We are pleased to share a selection of photographs from the day below.
